If you are feeling overwhelmed and anxious, you may be able to benefit from the Copaiba Softgels. When taken internally, Copaiba essential oil is  calming, soothing and supportive to the nervous system. Our incredible Copaiba Oil is now available in a softgel.  dōTERRA Copaiba Softgels are easy to swallow and provide a convenient way to receive the internal benefits of dōTERRA Copaiba essential oil.  Poppin’ bottles has a whole new meaning!  This pop top is SO convenient!  You may be wondering why us “dōTERRIAN’S” are so excited over this. So let me break it down for you.

True pure Copaiba Oil supports many of our major body functions. Including our liver health, cardiovascular health, immune health, digestive health, neurological function, respiratory health and provides antioxidant support.

Copaiba eases temporary inflammation and relaxes the mind and body. This oil blows my mind with how it services the body as a whole! I take it under my tongue daily for emotional and cellular support but will now be popping my Copaiba softgel instead. 🙌

I recently began giving the Copaiba Oil to my 12 year old daily, both internally and topically, along  with her bone nutrient, in order to address inflammation in her ankle bone, an injury she acquired during her intense competitive years in gymnastics.

Copaiba essential oil is sourced from four species of copaiba trees in the Brazilian Amazon. Many harvesters live along the Amazon River, which makes traveling by boat the best transportation method, both to reach neighbors and to harvest the oleoresin. It only takes .08 pounds of copaiba resin to make a 15 mL bottle of Copaiba oil, and the trees can be harvested from year-round and still maintain the health of the tree.

Copaiba is the essential oil with the highest known concentration of beta-caryophyllene, a constituent with an almost endless spectrum of benefits. Copaiba instantly became one of dōTERRA’s most popular single oils not only with users, but also for those interested in scientific exploration.

Copaiba was one of the primary oils in the AromaTouch® Hand Technique pilot trial, where further evidence was gathered about its powerful soothing properties. A recently published meta-analysis reviewed the current research on Copaiba’s ability to support several other body systems.

The study, published in the Brazilian journal Thieme, reviewed and analyzed data collected from 42 separate studies published between 2014 and 2017. The analysis included studies primarily involving topical application, but also encompassed related studies involving aromatic and internal use of Copaiba essential oil. Of particular interest was a growing body of research surrounding Copaiba’s possible benefits in supporting proper inflammatory response, tissue remodeling, and overall cellular health. After evaluating the data from all 42 studies, the researchers found a positive significance factor of 84 percent in studies investigating Copaiba’s ability to support proper inflammatory response, 50 percent in tissue remodeling, and 100 percent of the studies regarding cellular health. The investigators hope to do further analysis of Copaiba in a few years when more research is available.

Despite being a relatively unknown essential oil just a year ago, the research regarding Copaiba’s possible benefits is actually quite extensive. As evidenced by this recent meta-analysis, the research is also overwhelmingly positive and the rate and scope of investigation is rapidly progressing. With the recent publication of the AromaTouch Hand Technique clinical trial and other planned studies incorporating the use of Copaiba in a variety of contexts and application methods, dōTERRA is doing their part in scientifically validating the benefits of this amazing oil.

I personally use dōTERRA Copaiba Softgels to receive antioxidant support for my own cellular health, to help calm anxious feelings whenever they arise, and  occasionally at bedtime if I have a hard time falling asleep, and staying asleep through the night, in conjunction with our Serenity softgels.

Copaiba softgels also support the health of the respiratory system, the digestive system, the immune system and the cardiovascular system. I take one softgel daily to address concerns with any AND all of these systems.

When taken on a regular basis, your overall health can improve!

The first of its kind in the supplement industry, Copaiba Softgels can be taken on a regular basis, or as you recognize a specific need in your life.     LEARN MORE ABOUT COPAIBA.

My Favorite Uses
Copaiba is an incredibly versatile oil that has been used for centuries. See some of my favorite ways to use Copaiba below:
  1. For your skin. Copaiba has the capability of keeping your skin clear and clean while reducing the appearance of blemishes. To take advantage of this benefit, add Copaiba to your toner and apply to your face in upward circular motions. Or, apply it directly your skin before applying moisturizer.
  2. As a personal fragrance. Oils that blend well with Copaiba include Roman Chamomile, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Frankincense, or Ylang Ylang. Using any of these oils that appeal to you, create your own personal fragrance in a roller bottle, and then fill the rest of the bottle with Fractionated Coconut Oil.
  3. For whole-body wellness. Most of the body can benefit from Copaiba—it supports the cardiovascular, immune, digestive, nervous, and immune system.  South Americans have used copaiba resin for the health of many of these same systems. To take advantage of these benefits, add one to two drops to water, juice, or make your own tea using warm water and honey.
  4. To calm occasional anxious feelings. When you’re facing a stressful day ahead or feeling worried, diffusing Copaiba’s woody scent can help calm any anxious feelings you may be experiencing.
  5. As a way to protect and support your cells. Take one to two drops in a veggie capsule to take advantage of the antioxidants—the substance that stops potential damage to your cells from oxidation.
  6. To unwind. Diffuse it in your room and focus on the scent to fall into a meditative state. Or, you can also use in a calming bath by adding two to three drops to body wash, or epson salts before mixing it into the water.

The Chemistry of Copaiba
The synergy of chemical constituents in Copaiba makes it unique. Copaiba’s main chemical component is beta-caryophyllene, a chemical similar to cannabinoids found in cannabis that may protect nerve cells and have benefits for the cardiovascular and immune systems. However, while caryophyllene is responsible for some of the bioactive properties of Copaiba, many of the other properties of the oil are thanks to the diterpenes uniquely found in Copaiba.

Plant Description
Copaifera officinalis trees are evergreen trees native to Central and South America, where it flourishes best in tropical rainforest habitats (though it can grow in both wet and dry forests). The trees themselves are tall, and can grow to more than 100 feet tall.

Sourcing
The Amazon rainforest represents over half of the planet’s remaining rainforests. dōTERRA is proud to partner with a large network of copaiba harvesters that sustainably collect their oleoresin and ensure that the trees will be around for years to come.
